Cadet Dhananjay Arora Goes Missing Under Unsolicited Circumstances, Blamed Senior Officer Of Harassment

Dhananjay Arora, a 21 year old Cadet of Merchant Navy has been missing under unsolicited circumstances. Arora went missing after Ship New Horizon reached near Mauritius.

Arora has missing since 13th September and yet there is no clarification of his missing.

Dhananjay has previously mentioned that he was humiliated by one of his senior officers.

Arora’s sister said ‘ We are not being provided with any news over my brother’s missing by the authorities. We are being ignored and mis-guided, probably the Navy authorities are trying to hide something from us.’

They further added that 15 days prior to the incident Arora’s ship has been sailing in the sea and suddenly he went missing.

Arora’s family has also reached PMO and Home Minister but till now his family have not received any help or even response from the higher authorities.

The victim’s family has been seeking help by posting his images on Facebook and Whatsapp. They tried to take it to twitter with #RescueDhananjay #FindDhananjay and #DhananjayAroramissing.

Arora’s father Virendra Kumar said Dhananjay had nine month contract with Elegant Marine Service Private Limited. The ship carrying crude oil took off on 22 November 2019 which was aimed to carry the oil to China. The contract was completed on 18th of August but due to COVID-19 the contract was extended for two more months.

His father further told that Dhananjay had a telephonic conversation with his mother and sister on 13th September when he told he was few kilometers away from reaching Mauritius.

His father said ‘ Dhananjay sounded anxious on the call. When we asked him if everything was fine, he said he will call us at night and will inform everything. Meanwhile, he also sent a picture of one of his officers to us through watsapp. He told us to keep those pictures safe.’

Dhananjay has previously mentioned that he was humiliated by one of his senior officers. After sending the pictures to his family, Dhananjay went missing.

The ship crew got to know about his missing when they found his mobile phones in a cabin. They informed the authorities about his missing and claimed that they did not see him when he was approached for dinner.

Arora’s family members claim that the officer in the picture is responsible for his missing. His family suspects that those pictures might be the reason behind his sudden missing.

According to reports, the authorities are not responding to his family and portraying that he is being searched around the near places.

His family members took the matter to the Captain of the ship who denied any pictures and proof against his missing record.
