Bihar Elections 2020: PM’s Jibe At Tejashwi Yadav Begins Political War

Prime Minister Narendra Modi called “Jungle Raj ka Yuvraj” to Tejashwi Yadav, the chief ministerial candidate of the opposition in Bihar. In response Yadav accused him today of skipping” actual problems “such as corruption, employment and the migrant crisis ahead Bihar Elections 2020.

“He’s the prime minister of the country, he can say something, I don’t want to respond to it. But he came to Bihar, he should have spoken about a special package, unemployment, more important issues,” reporters told Tejashwi Yadav.

It’s the biggest party in the world (BJP), they use 30 helicopters … The public knows all if their PM talks like this. But he should have talked on issues such as poverty, factories, farmers, jobs … “said the 31-year-old leader of the RJD.”

The attack on Tejashwi Yadav by PM Modi was seen as the most overt yet in the Bihar Elections 2020 campaign, and was seen by the opposition camp as a sign of anxiety within the BJP, which governs the state in a coalition with Nitish Kumar. The rallies of Tejashwi have drawn record crowds and the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) has been shocked by the response to his poll pledge of government employment.

The Prime Minister at a rally in Muzaffarpur referred to the 15-year rule of the parents of Tejashwi Yadav, Lalu Yadav and Rabri Devi, as he warned the people against returning to “darkness.”

“Due to their previous track record, the people of Bihar do not maintain any hopes of the” Yuvraj Of Jungle Raj “(Crown Prince of the Jungle Raj),” PM Modi said. “He should be judged on the basis of a track record that people know much better than I do,” the Prime Minister said.

“Forget about public sector employment. Even private companies that provide employment will leave,” PM Modi said, countering the offer of 10 lakh government jobs by Tejashwi Yadav.

PM Modi said, referring to the allegations of lawlessness during the rule of Lalu Yadav, “Companies will shut down their offices and run away. Ransom calls will be made by those patronised by the party that has a copyright over abductions.”

Lalu Yadav is serving a corruption term in prison. Tejashwi Yadav, who has been leading the party in his father’s absence since 2018, has attempted to distance himself from his parents’ track record by keeping them out of his campaign material.
