As the world struggles with the invisible coronavirus, India is being praised internationally for its timely and proactive measures to curb the virus’ spread. AYUSH Ministry’s dissemination of verified information & guidelines has been instrumental in reducing the spread of coronavirus in India.
In an online session addressing the students , parents and faculty at Swarnim Startup & Innovation University located in Gandhinagar (Gujarat), AYUSH Union Minister Shri Shripad Naik addressed various measures taken by the AYUSH Ministry to help the country battle COVID-19.
“Ayurvedic decoction and yoga are an elixir cure for COVID-19,” Minister Naik said, adding that the AYUSH Ministry’s advisory is being followed not only in India but worldwide as well.
Hon’ble Union Minister Shripad Naik, Minister of Ayurveda , Yoga and Naturopathy , Unani , Siddha and Homeopathy (AYUSH) and Union Minister of State for Defense (Independent Charge) were invited to speak as one keynote speaker in particular.
More than 5,000 participants participated in the online event, including all staff members, current students as well as alumni and parents from India and abroad. The online session was opened by Shri Rishabh Jain (President), Shri Adi Jain (Vice-President), and Swarnim Startup & Innovation University Provost Dr. Kartik Jain.
Minister Shri Shripad Naik shared insights on the Coronavirus and COVID-19 disease novel, and the Ministry’s initiatives to combat the unprecedented Coronavirus pandemic outbreak.
“No solid drug or vaccine to cure the virus has yet been identified. Social distancing, individual hygiene and an increase in immunity are the only way to prevent Coronavirus from spreading, “said Minister Naik.
Minister Shri Shripad Naik motivated young students to proactively use this difficult time to develop solutions to the most pressing healthcare problems facing the country.
Appreciating the ethos of Swarnim Startup & Innovation University, India’s first startup university based in Gandhinagar, Gujarat focusing on entrepreneurship and innovation in multiple disciplines such as Engineering , Architecture, Design, Science, Management , Health Science, Paramedics, etc. The demand for the aids provided by AYUSH Department has risen by more than 200 percent over the past two months.
The session was well received by the audience and ended with thunderous applause for the minister as well as various initiatives taken by PM Narendra Modi, CM Vijay Rupani and others working day and night at the ministry to keep the Indians safe from Coronavirus.
