The Minister of Human Resources, Shri Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, informed that the University Grant Commission (UGC) regulations concerning the current credit framework for online learning can provide for the students enrolled in universities and associated colleges who take SWAYAM courses and take advantage of loans by completing these course.
The UGC also shared a list of the 82 Undergraduate and 42 Post graduate MSM courses offered in July Semester 2020 under the SWAYAM Platform at the University of Colombia and Vice Chancellors (www.swayam.gov.in) Undergraduate and 42 Postgraduate MSM courses.
It has said the subject areas such as biochemistry, biotechnology, biology, education, law, IT, business, pharmaceutical, mathematics , history, Hindi, Sanskrit, etc. are covered in these courses.
The Minister also noted that students, teachers, lifetime learners, senior residents and house-keepers can enroll in the existing COVID-19 pandemic scenario and take advantage of SWAYAM lessons to widen their learning horizons.
SWAYAM is a Government-initiated program designed to fulfill three main concepts of Education Policy ( i.e. Access, Equality and Quality) that are a research platform of active learners for young aspiring minds.
